Hillary Wilbur Ferro

Western Massachusetts artist, Hillary Wilbur Ferro, demonstrates her love of nature and the outdoors through her hand made distinctive sgraffito dishes and magnets. Sgraffito, Italian for scratch, is the meditative process of carving the layer of underglaze painted onto a clay surface. Hillary received her BFA and MEd from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Hillary's artwork displays her love of the natural world, whether in the medium of clay, printmaking or painting. She balances her time as a mother, artist and visual arts teacher. She lives with her family in Leverett, Massachusetts.
